Recovery Strap

A recovery strap (often called a “kinetic recovery rope”) is an nylon towing rope used to recover a stuck vehicle (mud, sand, snow) by stretching up to 30% under load and then recoiling to help “pull” the vehicle free.

How Recovery Straps Work:

The rope stretches (typically nylon), storing energy, then releases it smoothly—reducing shock compared with a rigid chain or static tow strap.
– Typical use: a recovery vehicle takes a gentle rolling start to build tension; the rope’s stretch provides the extra pulling force.
– Not the same as a tow strap: tow straps are usually more static for steady towing; kinetic ropes are for dynamic recoveries.
– Key safety points: match the rope’s rated capacity to vehicle weight, use rated recovery points (not a tow ball), and keep bystanders well clear.

Recovery Rope Construction:

Each Recovery Rope is made using a Double Braided Heavy -Duty Orange Nylon that features a Urethane Polymer Coating to help make them resistant to UV, water and abrasion. Kinetic Recovery Ropes are commercially braided and spliced with Heavy-Duty Closed Eye Loops on each end allowing multiple ways to make connections such as D-Rings or Soft Shackles.  no matter what type of Heavy-Duty Industrial and Commercial Tractor Trailer, Large Tractor or Heavy Construction Equipment you are trying to recover.

Recovery Rope Uses:

Our Kinetic Ropes are designed for many types of vehicles from ATV’s to Semi Trucks with Breaking Strengths from 8,000 lbs. to 115,000 lbs. Each Recovery Rope is available in multiple lengths.
