What better way to update or replace your winch recovery needs on your Jeep or off road vehicle and save money at the same time. TRE is offering a Winch Rope Package consisting of a Safety Thimble 2 along with 85′ of synthetic winch rope, a TRE designed and manufactured standard fairlead, and all the hardware you need to complete installation including a newly designed winch drum attachment.
Synthetic winch rope is one and a half times stronger than cable. If it breaks, it simply drops to the ground and there is no likelihood it will come back at you unlike a cable. With a cable, when the line is taught during a recovery, the built up energy will cause the broken cable to fly at you with heavy force potentially causing serious injury. If the rope does break, simply re-splice it and continue the recovery.
TRE winch ropes are 3/8″ diameter synthetic rope with a certified breaking strength of 20,000lbs.
Included on the winch rope is Safety Thimble 2 and a newly designed drum attachment that reduces abrasion on the winch line under load.
